WEBSTER – Barbara M. (Deary) Morse, 91, died Friday, September 13, 2013 in St. Mary Health Care Center, Worcester. Her husband, Joseph M. Morse, died in 1990.
She leaves 2 daughters, Dorothy B. Morse of Webster and Marianne M. Callahan of Arlington, VA; a brother, William J. Deary of Worcester; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Francis J. Deary, Jr., Bernard C. Deary, Joseph H. Deary, Edward T. Deary and Gerald P. Deary.
She was born in Webster, the daughter of Francis J. Deary, Sr. and Anna V. (Kangley) Deary and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Saint Louis High School in 1939 and Saint Vincent Hospital of Nursing in 1942.
Mrs. Morse was a registered nurse at Hubbard Regional Hospital for many years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Saint Louis Church. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, bird watching and reading.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 17, in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake Street (please meet at the church). Burial will be in New Boston Cemetery, Fabyan, CT. Donations in her name may be made to the Salvation Army, 640 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service,38 East Main Street.
