WEBSTER – Dorothy (Cusson) Para , 86, died Monday, March 3, 2014 in Webster Manor after a period of declining health. Her husband of 62 years, Frank Para, died in 2007. She leaves a daughter, Denise A. Burgess of Webster; 2 grandchildren, Kim Wigglesworth and her husband Scott of North Grosvenordale, CT and Michelle Jodrey and her husband Chris of Killingly, CT; a great-granddaughter, Cassidy Jodrey; 2 sisters, Irene Greenwood and Lorraine White, both of Webster; nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Marilyn Kaye of Webster. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Para, and by her 3 brothers, Arthur, Jr., Robert and Richard Cusson. She was born in Webster, a daughter of Arthur Cusson, Sr. and Anna (Lavallee) Cusson and lived here all her life. Mrs. Para worked as a spooler at Anglo Fabrics Company for over 30 years before she retired in 1982. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She was a former member of the Silver Dippers. She loved to dance and play the organ and drums. The funeral will be held Friday, March 7, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Friday, March 7, in the funeral home.
