Webster Jeanette B. (Ozog) Godzik, 93, formerly of Webster departed her earthly home to join her heavenly family on Sunday, January 25, 2015. Jeanette grew up in Whitinsville where she worked at the Whitin Machine Works during her young adult years. She married Francis J. Godzik, a photographer and furniture business man, in 1950 thereby moving to Webster. It was there that she raised two beautiful daughters while assisting in the operation of Godzik Studio, Frank’s photography business. Jeanette was an active member of the Webster community. For many years, her family participated in the St. Joseph Parish groups, including the St. Joseph Polish Women’s Club, and the Brownie and Girl Scout Associations. For, Jeanette, it was all about her family. They were always the first consideration of her life. Jeanette will always be remembered by her daughters as a nurturing mom who instilled strong core values, both ethical and educational. She and Frank worked hard to provide the support to send both their daughters through college and graduate level programs. Both girls have found success: Gail M. Arsenault of Thompson, CT., is a retired public school Administrator who served the Northbridge School district for 36 years and is presently a consultant and professional development provider for the MA. Department of Elementary and Secondary Education; Dr. Cathleen A. Godzik is a practicing orthopedic surgeon residing in Hollywood, CA. Jeanette’s granddaughter , Julie C. Arsenault, is a graduate of MIT and works in marketing for a firm in San Francisco, CA. She made St. Camillus her home in 2010 and made many wonderful friends here among the staff, residents and their families. She will always be grateful to the entire staff, administration, maintenance personnel and Father Jack for making her stay here both comfortable and cheerful. Jeanette will be missed but never forgotten as she peers down at us all from her place of rest in heaven. May God bless us all and keep us in His grace always. Written by Gail M. Her Funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11 AM in St. Joseph’s Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Burial will be at a later date with her husband Frank in St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery.
