WEBSTER – Richard D. Chartier, 65, of Webster, died Friday, November 23, 2012 in UMass/Memorial Healthcare University Campus after an illness. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Suzanne M. (Embair) Chartier; 3 sons, Richard M. & Patricia Chartier, Douglas J. & Tami Chartier all of Webster, Edward G. Chartier of West Boylston; a daughter, Tina M. Chartier of Webster; 12 grandchildren, Philip, Savannah, Christopher, Justin, Ashley, Jasmine, Quentin, Hannah, Elexis, Zachary, Jaden & Destiny; 4 great grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan, Dravyn & Amaya; 2 sisters, Shirley Washburn and Joyce Sergeant both of Claremont, New Hampshire. He was predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He was born in Newport, New Hampshire a son of Louis P. & Delia (Henault) Chartier. He was a graduate of Steven’s High School in Claremont, New Hampshire. Mr. Chartier was employed for 38 years as a transfer operator with Leggett & Platt in Oxford, retiring in 2010. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed fishing, puzzle books, gardening and playing cribbage. There are no services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
