Guy A. Collins, 55, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. His wife, Cynthia (Barbour) Collins died in 1999.
He leaves a son, Jason Barbour of Dennisport, 2 daughters; Kristina A. Collins and her fiancée Gary Lloyd of Webster and Rainbeaux B. wife of Robert A. Lloyd of Webster, a grandson, Connor Barbour , his best friend, Mark Dobson of San Francisco, CA. and his very special boy “Vince´his cat.
Guy was born in Southbridge son of David and Noreen (Gauthier) Collins .
He worked in maintenance for several companies including AERO factory in Southbridge and Pioneer Plastics in Akron, Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1977-1978.
At Guy’s request there will be No calling hours or Services.

Virginia H. (Jewett) Hodder, 83, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster.
She was affectionately known as “Ginny” or “Gram” to her family and friends. She leaves behind a daughter, Vicki Hodder of Daytona Beach, FLA., a brother, Charles Jewett and a sister, Carol Reilly both of Marlborough, a grand-daughter, Jillian B. Kokocinski and her husband John of Dudley, 2 great-grandchildren; Emma and Mason. Ginny was predeceased by a son, Gary Hodder who died in 1977.
She was born in Boston, the daughter of Charles and Harriet (Thompson) Jewett and lived in Hudson for many years. Ginny owned and operated her own hairdressing salon in Hudson retiring in 1979. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1948, was a fan of the New England Patriots, and enjoyed collecting Teddy Bears and watching T.V.
At Ginny’s request, there are no calling hours or services.

Ricky M. Martin, 67, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at UMass. Medical Center in Worcester. He leaves his wife of 24 years, Lois M. (Gevry) Martin, a daughter, Brittany Martin and a son; Derek J. Martin and his wife Erica L. Martin, all of Webster, 1 grandchild, 2 great grandchildren, a brother, Tommy Martin of Nebraska, and nieces and nephews. Ricky was predeceased by a son Lance D. Martin who died in 1987 and a grand-daughter, Amanda who died in 2007, he was also predeceased by a sister, Glinda MacDonald.
He was born in Savannah, Georgia a son to Audrey M. and Mary Evelyn (Bragg) Martin and has lived in Webster for many years. Ricky was also served as a Sgt. In the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
Ricky was a bar manager at several area restaurants and clubs including the former Ray Hade’s, Back Door Pub in Webster, The former Ax Mill Tavern in Douglas and The Laurel House in Dayville, Ct., he currently was working part time for the Kosciusko Society (Bush Hall) in Webster.
He was a sports fanatic and enjoyed watching the Celtics and Red Sox, also liked fishing and Sebago Lake, with his family and friends. He also enjoyed golf and golf tournaments and going to Florida and Las Vegas, keno, scratch tickets and having a ‘Bud’. Most of all ,Ricky was a compassionate person and loved his daughter.
He will be missed by many.
At Ricky’s request, there are No Calling Hours.
A Memorial Mass for Ricky will be Monday, January 20,2014 at 10:30 AM in St. Louis Church, 16 Lake St.

Illona B. (Bacon) Knych, 71, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She leaves her husband of 35 years, Bernard J. ‘Ben’ Knych, 2 step-daughters; Linda J. Cyr-Bibeau and her fiancée Paul Kubik of Webster, and Barbara K. Jeneral and her husband Jeffrey of Dudley, 3 sisters; Susan LeBeau of North Grosvenordale, Ct., Karen Chenard of Webster, and Joanne Jezerski of Charlton, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, David Bacon who died October 28, 2013.
Illona was born in Putnam, Ct., a daughter of Roland D. and Irene B. (Gancy) Bacon and has lived here for many years.
She worked for Hanover Insurance Co. in Worcester before retiring.
Illona was a member of St. Joseph Basilica and enjoyed reading.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 5PM to 7PM in the ROBERT J.MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St. A Service will be held in the FUNERAL HOME at 7 PM. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery.

Charles M. Christos, 90, of 85 Klebart Ave. passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.
His late beloved wife of 60 years, Loucia (Chito) Christos died March 5, 2012. He leaves 2 daughters; Evelyn C. wife of Sam S. Pappas and Dhimitra H. wife of Angelo Adamopoulos all of Webster, 5 grandchildren; Stephen, Chuck, Jimmy, Nicholas, and Loucia, 5 great grandchildren; Michael, Spiro, Alex, Stella, and Maximos.
Mr. Christos was born in Albania, son of Mina and Dhimitra (Mici) Christos and came to the United States February 15, 1945. He married his wife March 11, 1951. Charlie worked at the former Stevens Linen Associates in Dudley and retired at the age of 50 to manage his many properties of which he owned. He was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, a former member of the church council and a former member of A.H.E.P.P.A., Charlie enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with his wife for over 20 years and loved to sit in the sun and relax and smoking his pipe and cigars until he died and having a shot of ‘Tsiparo’ every night.
Charlie also loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling Hours will be Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 4PM to 8 PM at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 37 Lake Parkway. A Trisagion Service will be Thursday at 7PM in the church..
The Funeral Service will be Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10 AM at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 37 Lake Parkway, burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery next his beloved wife Loucia.

WEBSTER – Paul J. “Sparky” Adams, 67, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Mary Jane (Caplette) Adams; a son, Kevin P. Adams and his fiancé Nicole Fortin of Webster; a sister, Linda A. Millet of Webster; 2 nephews, Brendan and Colin Millet; a step-granddaughter, Brianna Santoro; and many friends. He also leaves his beloved German Shepherd Keno.
He was born in Webster, son of Ernest and Anna (Pavuk) Adams and lived here all his life. He graduated from Eymard Preparatory Seminary in Hyde Park, NY in 1964.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, serving for 4 years.
Mr. Adams first worked as a supervisor at Glass Container Corporation in Dayville, CT. He then owned and operated Sparky’s Gun Shop in Webster until the present.
He was a member of the Webster-Dudley American Legion Post #184, the NRA, the 200 Sportsman’s Club and the Putnam Sportsman’s Club. He was a former member of the Webster Finance Committee. He loved hunting and fishing.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 25, in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will perform the military honors at the cemetery. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, January 24, in the funeral home. Donations in his name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

WEBSTER – Norman R. Baker, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, January 24, 2014 in the Transitional Care Unit at Hubbard Hospital in Webster surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Alice M. (Gorski) Baker; 2 daughters, Deborah A. Wood of Tampa, FL, and Patricia J. LaPlante and her husband Joseph LaPlante, Jr. of Lisbon Falls, ME; a son, Norman M. Baker and his wife Donna of North Grosvenordale, CT; 5 grandchildren, Jennette Wood, Heather LaPlante, Crystal Shepard and her husband Shawn, and Daniel and Tyler Baker; 2 great-grandsons, Anthony and Aaron; a brother, Donald Baker and his wife Barbara of Dudley; nephews and nieces.
He was born and raised in Dudley, the son of Mitchell and Rosemarie (Lachance) Baker. He graduated from Bartlett High School and was a resident of Webster since 1953. He served in the Massachusetts National Guard for 9 years.
Mr. Baker was employed by the Worcester County Sherriff’s Department for 25 years, retiring with the rank of first lieutenant for the Worcester County House of Corrections. He belonged to the Worcester County Sherriff’s Association. His fellow workers affectionately called him “Stormin’ Norman.”
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a former member of the Webster-Dudley Knights of Columbus Council #228. He was a member of the Webster-Dudley American Legion Post #184 and a life member of the PACC. A gun enthusiast, he belonged to the Singletary Rod and Gun Club and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed reading, air shows and the outdoors.
Norman’s joy was the time he spent with his family at picnics, barbecues and traveling to Maine, Florida and Las Vegas.
The family wishes to thank the staff of TCU at Hubbard and the VNA Care Network.
The funeral will be held Monday, January 27, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, January 26, in the funeral home. WEBSTER – Paul D. Kenahan, 85, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 30 years, Kathleen J. (McCarthy) Kenahan; 2 daughters, Kathleen Herbert and her husband Stephen of Thompson, CT and Christine Currier and her husband Douglas of Punta Gorda, FL; 3 stepchildren, Sandra David of Webster, Paul Johansen of Pomfret, CT and Sherie Bombardier and her husband Paul of Webster; 10 grandchildren, Nicole, Zave, Audrey, Christine, Alex, Justin, Jordan, Janelle, Thomas and Shannon; a step daughter-in-law, Maryann Johansen of Charlton; 3 brothers, Bernard, Robert and David Kenahan, all of Rhode Island; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Marie Harding and Margaret Carmello, by 4 brothers, Charles Kenahan Jr., Thomas, James and Francis Kenahan, by a stepson Eric Johansen and by a step son-in-law Jeffrey David.
He was born in Providence and raised in Warwick, RI, a son of Charles Kenahan, Sr. and Rose De Lima (Roy) Kenahan. He lived in Keene, NH, East Woodstock, CT and Dudley before moving to Webster. He graduated from Aldrich High School in Warwick, and then earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Providence College. He continued his studies at Georgetown University.
Mr. Kenahan first worked as an insurance agent for the National Grange in Keene, NH. In 1956, he purchased and ran the Healy Insurance in North Woodstock, CT. He then was a substitute teacher at Shepherd Hill Regional High School in Dudley for 17 years, retiring in 1996. He also bartended at various local establishments.
He was a member of Saint Louis Church. He enjoyed gardening, traveling and listening to Irish music.
The family would like to thank the staff at the VNA and Hospice of Southern Worcester County for their caring support during Paul’s illness.
The funeral will be held Saturday, February 1, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be held at a later date.The family will receive relatives and friends from 8:30 to 10:15 AM Saturday, February 1, in the funeral home. Please omit flowers. Eva S. (Costa) Pappas, 95, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 26, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, Peter Pappas, founder of Park ‘N’ Shop Supermarkets who died in 2003.
Eva leaves her daughter, Barbara Pappas of Webster, her grand-daughter, Cynthia Karapanos and her grandson, James Karapanos and his wife Tara, her grandchildren; Alex Pappas, Alexis Puhlick, Peter and Chloe Karapanos. She also leaves her sisters-in-law, Olga Pappas and Mary Baxter and her husband Thomas and a brother-in-law, Charles Pappas and his wife Helen all of Webster. She also leaves many nieces and nephews including Richard Bottis of California and Mitchell Nichols of New Hampshire, with whom she was very close. Eva also left behind her long-time, devoted and loving caregiver Mary Nichols.
She was born in Franklin, New Hampshire a daughter of Theodore and Pauline (Sotiriades) Costa and has lived in Webster for many years. She was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Leon and Peter Costa and 2 sisters, Dora Barry and Helen Bottis.
Eva worked side by side with her husband, Peter for many years at Park ‘N’ Shop Supermarkets. She was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, and a member of the Philoptochos Society. She was a past member of the Hubbard Regional Hospital Guild and past member of the Webster Women’s Club. She was a life- long member of the Emblem Club #129, and a member of the Grand Chapter of the Massachusetts Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Killdeer Island Club.
Most important to Eva was her family.
Eva touched many lives throughout her years and was a kind and caring and generous person. She opened her heart and home to everyone.

Calling Hours for Eva will be Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 6PM to 8 PM at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway. A Trisagion Service will be at 7PM Thursday at the Church.
The Funeral will be Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10AM at the Church, burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, next to her beloved husband Peter.

Joan leaves her husband of 61 years; Adelard L. ‘Del’ Marier, 3 sons; Leon A. Marier and his wife Carol of Webster, Wayne R. Marier and his fiancée Linda of Putnam,CT., and Glen A. Marier of Hurricane, West Virginia, and a daughter; Janet A. O’Rourke of Webster, a sister; Alice Carrierie and her husband John of North Oxford, 15 grandchildren,3 great grandchildren , a sister-in-law; Virginia Woznicki of Webster and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard B. Woznicki who died in 1989. Joan was born in Webster, daughter of the late Bruno J. and Parmelia C. (Plasse) Woznicki and lived here all her life.She was a 1949 graduate of Bartlett High School and was the an outstanding athlete for the school in archery, also captain of the girls basketball team , captain of the softball team ,a cheerleader and was a drummer in the Bartlett band. She was also a senior tap-dancer and loved going to bingo. Joan worked in the family business, the former Bruno’s Citgo Station for many years, and then worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Shrewsbury, where she retired. She leaves 2 sons, Carl A. Paglione and his companion Michelle Cove of North Grosvenordale, CT and Jeffrey P. Paglione and his wife Mary Ann of Putnam, CT; 2 grandchildren, Michael Anthony Paglione and his wife Jacqueline, and Elizabeth Ashley Paglione; a brother, Ralph Grondolski of California; a sister, Helen Igelski of Newington, CT; nieces and nephews. She was born in Indian Orchard, a daughter of Peter and Victoria (Piasniak) Grondolski and lived in Webster most of her life. Mrs. Paglione was a homemaker. She was also the head cook at the counter in F. W. Woolworth Company for 10 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Louis Church. Gentile; a daughter, Jane Adams; 3 grandchildren, Felicia and Amanda Adams and Jessica Beland; 3 brothers, Henry Cormier of Spencer, David Cormier of Missouri and Joseph Cormier of New Hampshire; a sister, Yvette Besse of Missouri; a step-brother, Charles Cormier of Dudley; a step-sister, Joyce Paquette of Whitinsville; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Richard Cormier, by a sister Doris Brown and by her step-mother, Eleanor Cormier. She was born in Worcester and raised in the Rochdale section of Leicester, a daughter of Lionel J. and Rita J. (Ledoux) Cormier. She lived in Worcester before moving to Webster in the 1980’s. Mrs. Gentile was a ticket collector at Indian Ranch for many years. The family would like to thank the staff at Summit Eldercare in Charlton for their compassionate care of Alice; she enjoyed her weekly visits there. The funeral will be held Wednesday, February 12, at 10:00 AM in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. WEBSTER – Frank R. “Sleepy” Kaliszewski, 88, died Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Webster Manor after a period of declining health. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Gloria L. (Bourassa) Kaliszewski; 3 stepchildren, Susan M. Desrosiers and her husband John of North Oxford, Robert L. Anderson and his wife Linda of Oxford, and Diane L. Sonos and her husband Charles of Thompson, CT; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandsons; 2 brothers, Robert Kaliszewski of North Grosvenordale, CT and David Kaliszewski of Sturbridge; a sister, Esther Cassettari of Florida; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Leo, Richard and Edward Kaliszewski and by a sister, Leona Walker. He was born February 12, 1926 in Dudley, a son of Frank J. and Donalda (Lucier) Kaliszewski and lived in Webster most of his life. He attended Bartlett High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the PAV. Mr. Kaliszewski worked at Cranston Print Works Company in Webster, first as a machine operator for 10 years and then as a security guard on weekends for 20 years, retiring in 2008. Previously, he had worked at Middlesex Casket Company. He was a lifelong member of Saint Louis Church. He enjoyed walking, fishing, golfing, bowling and attending car races at Thompson Speedway. WEBSTER – Jeannette C. (Beaudoin) St.Onge, 63, formerly of Nelson Street, died Friday, February 21, 2014 in St. Camillus Health Center, Northbridge after a period of declining health. She leaves 2 daughters, April Lee Nicolan and Cindy Lee Nicolan, both of Fall River; a grandson, Nicholas Custidio; a brother, Raymond Beaudoin; a sister, Theresa Hamel; nieces and nephews, including Brenda Bedard of Northbridge. She was born and raised in Fall River, the youngest child of Leo and Marion (Belanger) Beaudoin. She lived in Webster from 1998 to 2012, when she moved to Northbridge. She worked as a security guard at Pinkerton Security in Plattsburg, NY and then as a nurse’s aide in Burlington, VT, retiring in 1997 because of illness. She was a member of the Faith Assembly of God. Services will be held privately. There are no calling hours. Charlton Ernest W. “Mush” Morgan, 80, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in his home. He leaves his wife of 43 years, Corinne M. (Miller) Morgan, 4 children; Dennis W. Morgan and his wife Jamie of South Carolina, James D. Morgan of Atlanta, GA., Doreen E. Nergararian and her husband Carl of Shrewsbury, and Melissa R. Smith and her husband Bruce of Jefferson, 6 grandchildren; Michael, Paul, Julie, Eric, Dylin and Andrew, a sister, Pauline Dziembowski of Webster, 2 brothers; Gerard Morgan of Ft. Lauderdale, FLA., and Edmund Morgan of Webster, several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a Special Friend, George Slingo of Dudley He was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Morgan. Ernie was born in Dudley, son of Gerard A. and Marie Rose (Bazinet) Morgan and has lived in Charlton over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and then served 12 years in the U. S. Air Force as a Staff Sgt. during the Korean War era. He and Corinne celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary this past February 12th. After retiring from the Air Force he owned and operated Morgan’s Garage in Webster for 15 years and specialized in Volkswagen repairs, after that he worked at the former Cranston Print works Co. for several years. Mush enjoyed playing horseshoes , fishing, waterskiing, loved to work in his yard, was a jack of all trades and enjoyed tinkering around and fixing things, most of all, Ernie loved and adored his grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them different aspects of fixing things and waterskiing, they were a very special part of his life. He was also a member of the Oxford American Legion Post #58. Calling Hours for Mush will be Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2PM to 4PM at the Robert J. Gentile; a daughter, Jane Adams; 3 grandchildren, Felicia and Amanda Adams and Jessica Beland; 3 brothers, Henry Cormier of Spencer, David Cormier of Missouri and Joseph Cormier of New Hampshire; a sister, Yvette Besse of Missouri; a step-brother, Charles Cormier of Dudley; a step-sister, Joyce Paquette of Whitinsville; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Richard Cormier, by a sister Doris Brown and by her step-mother, Eleanor Cormier. She was born in Worcester and raised in the Rochdale section of Leicester, a daughter of Lionel J. and Rita J. (Ledoux) Cormier. She lived in Worcester before moving to Webster in the 1980’s. Mrs. Gentile was a ticket collector at Indian Ranch for many years. The family would like to thank the staff at Summit Eldercare in Charlton for their compassionate care of Alice; she enjoyed her weekly visits there. The funeral will be held Wednesday, February 12, at 10:00 AM in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. WEBSTER – Martin C. “Marty” Kichar, 49, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in UMass/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after a courageous battle with a rare illness. He leaves his mother, Ethel L. (Beas) Kichar with whom he lived; his father, George J. Kichar, Sr. of Derby, CT; 3 sisters, Karen L. Kichar and Ethel L. Rivera, both of Webster, and Jo-Ann E. Vantassel Kichar of New York; 2 nephews, 4 nieces, 2 great-nieces, aunts, uncles and many cousins; his godparents, Charles Beas, Jr. of Ansonia, CT and Betty Coe of Wallingford, CT; and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother, George J. Kichar, Jr. in 2004. He was born on February 21, 1964 in Derby, CT. He was raised in Shelton, CT and in Providence, RI before moving to Webster in 1979. Mr. Kichar was a shipper at Shields Packaging in Webster for several years, retiring due to illness in 2006. He excelled in drawing and free hand string arts. He loved music and sports. He was very close with his nephews and nieces and, although he had none himself, he loved children. He had a heart of gold. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 22, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. (Bourassa) Kaliszewski; 3 stepchildren, Susan M. Desrosiers and her husband John of North Oxford, Robert L. Anderson and his wife Linda of Oxford, and Diane L. Sonos and her husband Charles of Thompson, CT; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandsons; 2 brothers, Robert Kaliszewski of North Grosvenordale, CT and David Kaliszewski of Sturbridge; a sister, Esther Cassettari of Florida; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Leo, Richard and Edward Kaliszewski and by a sister, Leona Walker. He was born February 12, 1926 in Dudley, a son of Frank J. and Donalda (Lucier) Kaliszewski and lived in Webster most of his life. He attended Bartlett High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the PAV. Mr. Kaliszewski worked at Cranston Print Works Company in Webster, first as a machine operator for 10 years and then as a security guard on weekends for 20 years, retiring in 2008. Previously, he had worked at Middlesex Casket Company. He was a lifelong member of Saint Louis Church. He enjoyed walking, fishing, golfing, bowling and attending car races at Thompson Speedway.
